It’s also about taking a stand for Queensland’s future. We want Queensland to:
• Develop and invest in community services, training and public infrastructure across Queensland
• Protect workers and their families through strong workplace safety laws and fair workers’ compensation
• Invest in our society to make it fairer and more equitable.
The fundamental roles of the QCU are to:
• support and co-ordinate union campaigns to improve industrial conditions;
• be the public voice of the Queensland union movement;
• influence government and public policy at an industrial, political and social level;
• build awareness of the union movement through education, training and campaigning; and
• represent the Queensland movement statewide, nationally and internationally.
